Across the Adriatic, at Maestral Resort & Casino on the Montenegrin coast, that energy has long felt familiar.
For more than two decades, guests from Italy, particularly from the south, have brought their warmth, temperament and love of life to Maestral. Over time, summer stays became friendships, familiar rituals and memories that gradually became part of the hotel’s identity.
Because tradition cannot be created overnight.
It does not begin with a single idea, one event or one summer season. It grows through trust, loyalty and return visits. It takes shape when guests come back year after year, bring their families and friends, recognize familiar faces and begin to feel that a place belongs to their own story.
This is the spirit behind PASTA, SOLE & AMORE, a two-day Italian-inspired festival taking place on 14 and 15 August at Maestral in Pržno, Montenegro.
This is not a generic summer activity designed for a single season.
The festival is rooted in a real connection and in a tradition that began at Maestral more than twenty years ago. In those earlier days, the hotel hosted Festa degli Spaghetti, an event that brought together guests, employees and friends of Maestral through food, friendly competition and the simple joy of spending time together.
Today, that story returns in a new form.
The first day will feature a pasta-making competition, while the second will celebrate Ferragosto, one of Italy’s most cherished summer traditions.
Yet the true meaning of PASTA, SOLE & AMORE goes beyond pasta and beyond the celebration of a single holiday.
It is about the way people come together.
For decades, Maestral has welcomed guests of different nationalities, cultures, languages and generations. These encounters have created an atmosphere that cannot be defined only by a hotel stay. Its real value lies in a sense of belonging, in familiar faces, lasting relationships and memories that remain long after the journey ends.
Although the festival is inspired by Maestral’s long-standing relationship with its Italian guests, it is created for everyone staying at the hotel during those August days.
Every guest is invited to become part of a meeting between two Adriatic shores and one shared Mediterranean story.
